The one and only,
Frances B. Johnston
I perform a historical character, Frances B. Johnston,
for the West Virginia Humanities Council, in their
History Alive! program. Frances was a famous
photographer at the turn of the last century. She
photographed the famous and captured history as it
was happening. She was proud to be a
self-supporting woman in a traditionally male
occupation. Her photographs endure as art and as
documentation of current events and personalities of
